What it does
Your input source. Still selected.
InputDive stays in the menu bar and keeps your selected input source active. Your lock target and current input source remain visible.

Only real, selectable keyboard input sources are shown. Internal placeholders stay hidden.

How it works

Choose a target
Pick an enabled input source, or adopt the one you are using now.
Start locking
The menu bar icon changes to a lock so the current state is always visible.
Keep typing
When the system changes input sources, InputDive restores your selected one.
Free means the whole app.
InputDive has no paid tier and no feature gate. Core features run locally. Optional update checks read only the public version file; they send no keystrokes, input-source details, or device identifiers.
Install
A direct local download.
InputDive uses a stable Apple Development signature and is not notarized through the Apple Developer Program.
On first launch, macOS may block the app because it is not from an identified developer. You do not need to disable Gatekeeper.
- Download the DMG and drag InputDive into Applications.
- Open InputDive once. If macOS blocks it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Choose Open Anyway for InputDive, then launch it from the menu bar.
